Time to do it. Electronic Boost Controller Installed

Posted by martin on 22 May, 2005 00:59 | Permalink | Engine | Hits (1830)

I bought a Blitz Solenoid Boost Controller (a.k.a. Blitz SBC) today and installed it by myself.

Well, it is a quite easy job to install this. Just follow some rules below.
1. Bypass stock N249.
2. Bypass sotck N75.
3. Get D.V. connected from the manifold directly.
4. Don't remove electronic connector from N249 and N75. We need to let ECU thinks both of them are fine.

Here are some photos I took from my engine bay:

Posted by martin on 10 May, 2005 11:17 | Permalink | Engine | Hits (635)

Well, I've installed the short shift for 02M from autotech, I almost felt nothing about the difference between stock one from the autotech one, I think it is about time to get this from ECS.

Waiting for Quaife LSD Kit

Posted by martin on 10 May, 2005 01:07 | Permalink | Suspension | Hits (813)

Due to the incresing horsepower, I felt that it is a little bit not easy to control this 280hp bug. I think it is time to get a LSD installed. I ordered Quaife LSD kit from ECS-Tuning website, and this one is for 02M (6-speed) gearboxes only.

In ECS website, it says:

With an ordinary open differential, most of the power is lost during wheelspin under heavy acceleration. This differential drives both wheels, instead of just one. An open differential shifts power to the wheel with the least resistance (the one with less grip). The Quaife does the complete opposite, and senses which wheel has the better grip, and applies the power to that wheel. This happens smoothly and constantly, and without ever completely removing power from either wheel.

Recaro once again!!!

Posted by martin on 07 May, 2005 03:16 | Permalink | Interior | Hits (1326)

These front seats are exactly for Golf 25AE.

I sold the Recaro SRIII one weeks ago for the entering space reason. SRIII won't jump up as the stock for 3-doors car to make a bigger space for entering the back seats, it just lean down. I usualy needs to put something on the back seats. It did make me in a sad mood selling SRIII out, I sit on the stock leather front seat again in one week time, I was missing my SRIII the whole week. Now, I have these new front seats and I am not so missing SRIII any more (I am just a little missing them)

Next step? K03/K04 Eliminators! ATP GT28RS

Posted by martin on 01 May, 2005 16:13 | Permalink | Engine | Hits (885)

It says: "Don't replace it with another "KKK", go with a turbo by Garrett!" Ha-ha-ha....

K03/K04 Eliminators! ATP Ball Bearing turbine: GT28RS. According the introduction of ATP and some other posts in Vwvortex forum, you almost only need to swap nothing but turbine itselft and the software get to GT28RS installed. Put this in would be as easy as installing a KKK K04 turbine.
