DVW Waterfest 2006 @ Taiwan

Posted by martin on 20 November, 2006 00:43 | Permalink | General | Hits (797)

It was the biggest VAG waterfest in Taiwan this year. About 600 or more VAG cars show in this waterfest. I was too busy to go to the waterfest that day, fortunately my friend was there and took some photos. :)

In the waterfest, you even can see the dynamometer machine shown there and there was a Horsepower competition in the party. Quite cool isn't it? :)

Want to what more photo? Just click here.

And video here.

Rim swaped. make it a bit smaller. :)

As the previous 16 inch rims were a bit larger for this OLD school golf. I decide to make it samller and it would help to reduce the consumption of pertrol. Now I get OLD school 15 inch BBS RA and get it installed with Dunlop DZ101 tyre.

And eventually get my MKII washed, AFAIR, the last time I get my MKII washed is about three months before. :)

Yes, it is made of blue lens. It won't reflect glisten to your eyes as it is good for night drivers.

We made it in for members of "VW New Beetle Owner's Club" in Taiwan as a Club Product. Many of our members want to have it as the stock mirror is with such a confined view range.

Official Pink New Beetle. It is 'Volkswagen Beetle Barbie'. :)

"Only 13 will be built, and they'll be sold through specially-selected VW dealers. "

Quote:
We've brought you the Mitsubishi's Hello Kitty i, and now, in our never-ending quest to provide complete coverage of all children's-toy-themed automobiles, we present the Mexican-market Volkswagen Beetle Barbie. No battery-operated kiddie toy, mind you, the Beetle Barbie is a bona-fide VW New Beetle, finished in a retina-searing hot pink paint job decorated with strategically-placed Barbie logos. Detail fanatics take note: even the lug nuts are pink.

Inside, the theme continues, with pink accents and inserts finding their way onto the leather seats, door trim, floormats, and steering wheel. Only 13 will be built, and they'll be sold through specially-selected VW dealers. The price? 262,500 Mexican pesos ($24,368 USD / 19.012 ?). No word on whether or not Ken will be seen riding shotgun.
