I was parking on a drive and waiting my girlfriend to take some stuff from the store in the next block. It took me about 20 minutes waiting there, so I took a snapshot. :) My MKII is a bit dirty as I've not get it washed for one and a half months. (Ouch, it is such long time that I didn't wash it.) I would better to get it washed tomorrow.

What is diode mod? Well, it is a simple way, in fact, to change the return value of the boost pressure checking sensor on the intercooler to fool the ECU that this car is not over boost. So, the zener diode is just the main character to do this work. Get a zener diode install can just cut the over voltage and only allow pre-defined voltage passed. Here is a simple testing of this diode with USB Oscilloscope.

Zener Diode mod is most cheap and easy way to bypass the ECU restriction of boost pressure checking. If you use either Manual Boost Controller (MBC) or Electronic Boost Controller without chipping the ECU, the ECU would throw your car into a so call limp mode when your steady boost is over the pre-defied value in the ECU. The boost pressure would be restricted at around 0.3-0.4Bar, and you have no chance to make more boost untill you restart the engine. How to just increast a little bit boost to make your engine gain some horse power without throwing into a limp trouble? Well, diode mod is the answer of it.

Today, I got phone call from SONY Taiwan and ask me to get my laptop back. It is really a small brilliant laptop Sony VAIO UX17TP, I really like it. The white bag is sort of gift for pre-order customers. It is a well designed and handy bag.

Left: Stock one, Right: Bright whilte LED swapped. Made it as my friend's request. He prefers white light, hope he likes it.

I always think that the light in the bug is not bright enough. I've made some DIY project so far, I made 3 Led reading lights couple months ago. Now I think it is about time to make the light for the cup holder and the cigarette lighter.

What the hell this car is? It is Porsche Carrera GT. We visited it tonight and ran with it on the High Way for a few hours. It is really a nice experience to see this monster.

It is a pipe for wastegate. :) It just dumps extra exhaust to air. Eventually, I've time to take this photo.

It is stock optional Monsoon AMP for Beetle. As far as I know there are only two bugs here in Taiwan have this monsoon system installed. And one of them is my girl friends' red bug, I bougth it from Germany for her and had it installed. And the other is Turbo S which was imported for the States and the siliver Turbo S is an used car, not a brand new bug.

Now, I bought this AMP and speakers from ebay using very very low price once again. Will have it installed in my bug soon. :)
