Get VW Original iPod Adapter installed. DIY instruction

Today, I have few hours break in the afternoon, I think it is a good time to write a DIY instruction down. :)


Pull the radio out with right tools. :)


Ok, it is out now.


There are three cables in the back of raido. the Blue rack is exact the CD changer cable. We are gonna replace this one with the iPod adaptor we have.


Yet another view of those factory radio cable.


How to connect these stuff, here is a simple diagram.


Connect these cables and adaptor as above diagram. Then the simple installation is done. :)

Now the major issue is where to place our own iPod. Well, each one has his own idea. IMO, the best place for me is in the glove box. How about you?

BTW, if you have ice>Link and want to installe it in your bug, you can just do as what i post above. The way to install ice>Link is exact the same as this VW original iPod adaptor. :)
